Web Browser

There are a lot of web browsers to choose from and so many are better than Internet Explorer - if you still use internet explorer do yourself a favour and broaden your horizons!

Firefox is my browser of choice.

It is very fast and efficient, safe and has some brilliant built-in features and even more available as extensions that can be installed.

The number of extensions available continues to grow all the time as people write more – this is one of the benefits of free, open source software.

According to the website over 72 million people now use firefox. If you haven’t made the switch I urge you to try it. You can import your Favorites, settings and other information and begin to experience the benefits of Firefox.

Just a few of the features I have found most useful include:

Popup blocking - Firefox has a built in popup blocker.
Tabbed browsing – this huge time-saving feature alone makes it worth the switch
Easy searching with Google Search (and others – just click the drop-down arrow) built into the toolbar and the ability to add other search engines also.

Firefox is also a very compact and quick download weighing in at only 4.9mb – there’s no excuse! Firefox is also multi-platform so tell all your friends.
