Anti Virus

The truth is that these days no one can afford to not have and anti virus program and actually everyone can afford one – a free one, of course.

AVG Free Edition is excellent anti-virus software available, free of charge for home users, from www.grisoft.com.

It has been my experience and I have read of the same from others that AVG has found viruses not picked up at the time by Norton Anti-virus. AVG is also very fast and much less resource-hungry (it won’t slow your computer down as much) than Norton.

AVG will scan your incoming and outgoing email as well as automatically update its virus definitions from the internet. It is particularly important to keep your virus definitions up to date as there are new viruses being created and released every day.

The website states that the free edition is for use on a single home computer and commercial use is not permitted.
