This quick online test will show you how vulnerable your computer is to hackers and will also test the effectiveness of your firewall. If you don’t currently use one the results will be enough to shock you out of that careless behaviour!

ZoneAlarm Personal is my favorite firewall (and I’ve tried a few).

It has a nice clean, intuitive interface making it very easy to use and more importantly it provides excellent protection.

It is quick and easy to set up with a few simple settings to configure. Then, initially programs will ask you for permission to access the internet and permission will be sought to allow access from the internet.

You can set permissions for various programs to either enable access whenever they want or always block access or ask continue to ask permission each time.

These permissions can be changed at any time.
