Compression

In spite of what most people think, WinZip is shareware and not freeware. If you continue to use it you are expected to pay for it. Here's a totally free alternative that I like even better.

IZArc is a powerful compression utility with a clean, easy to use interface.

Of course you can use IZarc to extract the contents from any zip files you have downloaded and you can also use it to 'zip' your own files and a lot more.

The program also supports a huge number of compression formats (see the list below).

IZarc supports a huge number of formats and offers such features as:

Drag and drop files from and to Windows Explorer
Create and extract archives directly in Windows Explorer
